My Craft Spot Challenge #102~Cute as a bug!

Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. It's hard to believe it's Monday! Don't the weekends just fly? My hubby and the boys are back from a week long trip from their favorite place...Canada! There is something about fishing in Canada and I am telling you they look forward to it every year! I am glad to have them back and now look forward to spending some time this week with my oldest who is home on vacation :)

It's Monday and for me that means we have a another great challenge going on this week over at
My Craft Spot!

The challenge this week is: Cute as a bug!

Here is some inspiration: 

My card base is 5 x 5 and the base layer 4 3/4 x 4 3/4. The papers are Echo Park~sweet girl collection which I just love this paper pack...so many fun patterns! I cut a small panel at the top and wrapped some fun Caribbean  crinkle ribbon and tied a double bow and added a heart stick pin.

The cute lady bug is cut from the Create A Critter cartridge at 2 3/4 plus the layers. I embossed the pink layer with the swiss dots folder. The adorable face is from PK~The Cornies. I added a cute bow to the lady bug using Caribbean bakers twine.

The sentiments are stamped with My Craft Spot's Thank You stamp set.

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!

Hello Everyone! I have a really quick project to share with you. I found this fun milk carton cut file at the Silhouette store and cut it from the Silhouette Cameo. I am entering this in a challenge over at Cuttin and Stampin Challenge #23~Father's Day. Still a little time left if you want to join in their challenge!

I chose papers from DCWV Blossom song paper pack and cut it at 8.07 x 11.34. I inked all the edges with peeled paint. I added a small mat and embossed it with the stars folder.

I used PKSC-15 March kit for the image and the face is stamped with the PK294~The Cornies stamp set which I added rosy cheeks, freckles and some glossy accents. I also embossed the hat with the tiny bubbles folder and added some glossy accents for some dimension. I fussy cut around it and popped it up on the star mat.

The banner is My Creative Time's~Vintage Stitched Labels die and the sentiment is from My Creative Time's~Here's Lookin' at You stamp set. I tied some yummy crinkle ribbon to the box from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces and added some fun stickles from my buddy Carri at Double Click.

Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday Challenge~White Wedding

Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion! 

Hi my crafty friends! Where did the week go? I can't believe my guys are going to be back tomorrow night from the big Canada fishing trip already! I packed a lot in while they were gone however, not much crafting :( I helped my son's fiance move things to their house, unpacked sorted, put away and then worked on a few flower gardens that are in front of their home.
I am sure you are wondering..man, how long is this project taking? That's how I am feeling, haha! Anyway, we are closing in on the project! Yeah!!! They should be all settled and moved in by the end of the month. Time for a party, lol!

It's time for another Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday challenge! Woot-Woot! Hope you come join us:) 

The challenge this week is: It's a nice day for a White Wedding!
It definitely is a busy month of weddings for us.  So, this challenge is perfect for me!!  I have a niece, a nephew and a co-workers daughter all getting married this month! What a lovely time of the year to get married, ha?
Here is a wedding card I made for one of the happy couples:

My card base is 5 x 5.  I cut four panels 1 1/4 x 4 7/8 and layered on top of the base and then an extra one for along the bottom of the card. I followed with a Spellbinders Label twenty two and embossed it with the cuttlebug flower folder.
I cut the pretty wedding cake at 4" and the layers from the Sweethearts cartridge. I embossed the tray with the swiss dots folder and the cake layers all with the divine swirls. I inked with victorian velvet as I felt it needed a little pop and added glitter to the edges on the icing.

I strung some beaded garland I had in my stash along with some tiny flowers. I finished with tying a double sheer bow along with a tag using My Creative Time's Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set and die. I also added little flowers that I had picked up at Michael's.

Wish Big!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion! 

Hi my crafty friends! I hope you are all having a great day!! Today is my Design Team Day over at My Craft Spot and I  have a fun card to share with you today using My Craft Spot's
Birthday Wishes & Tiny Tags stamp sets.

I cut the shape from the Lacy Labels cartridge at 4.87 x 5.67 using my gypsy to weld. The base layer is cut at 4.75 x 5.53 followed by a layer which is embossed with the diamond plate folder. I cut this cute monkey from a cut file that I found at Miss Kate Cuttables. I cut it at 5.75 along with all the pieces using my Cameo.

I added a frame around it which is from the Elegant Edges cartridge, cut at 4 1/2 and inked all the pieces with frayed burlap. I stamped the sentiment with My Craft Spot's Birthday Wishes stamp set.   

I topped it off with a fun orange gingham double bow, attached with a small clothespin, the tiny tag which was cut with the Tiny Tags metal die and stamped with the Tiny Tags stamp set.

My Craft Spot Challenge #101-Wedding

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion! 

Hi Everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It was beautiful on Saturday, in the low 70's and then rained all day Sunday :( crazy weather! So, on Saturday I was able to get some baking done, cleaning and even a little crafting!
On Sunday, my oldest son (who lives in NY) came home for a few weeks. My hubby and the boys are leaving with a large group of guys on their annual fishing trip for the week. They are super pumped and...me too, lol! I will have a little "me" time! Yeah..... craft, shop...whatever :) I am SO ready!

It's Monday and that means it is time for another My Craft Spot challenge!
The challenge this week is: Wedding
I am sharing a card with you using My Craft Spot's Stampin' Around Spring stamp set. My daughter will be putting on a shower for one of her best friends who is getting married in a few months and she wanted me to make a few different invites for them to choose from. 

This is one of them: 

 

My card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and the base layer at 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. The next layer I followed it with pattern papers from My Mind Eyes-Breeze collection. I cut the formal dress at 4 3/4 with the Tie the Knot cartridge.

I embossed the dress with the divine swirl folder and added some gorgeous pearls to the dress for an elegant look. It looks so pretty!

I used the Tiny Doilies Metal Die for the doily tag and then stamped the sentiment with the Stampin' Around Spring stamp set and the center piece, embossed with divine swirls folder.   

 I finished by topping it off with a beautiful double bow with ribbon I had in my stash.

Hats of to you!!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!! 

Hello Everyone! I hope you are enjoying your Saturday! It is gorgeous today...about 70 degrees! Wahoo! I am flying around here trying to craft, bake and clean! What a combination, ha? Well, mostly crafting right now, lol! 

I have a really quick and fast project to share with you today. This is a graduation party favor that was made for a friend who wanted something to hand out to her graduates. This works perfect for a gift card, small token, candy etc. 

I picked up some of these awesome clear boxes from Jaded Blossoms and then decorated it up. Oh my gosh, you should stop over at Jaded Blossoms and check it out....a lot going on over there! Some new stuff!

 The papers are from My Mind's Eye-Find & Dandy collection and made a belly wrap for the box.  I used a Martha Stewart punch for the fun border. 

The hat and sentiment is from My Creative Time's Here's Lookin' at you set. I embossed the darling graduation hat and added a little doodling. 

I tied on a double bow using crinkle ribbon from my friend Karen at Little Scrap Pieces. I then looped some burgundy jute string from My Craft Spot and a fun wooded star button that was in my stash and added the little tag.
